In honor of Respect Life Month, the Archdiocese of San Francisco is hosting a free webinar Oct. 6 for women and families to discover natural ways to nurture fertility that honor the dignity of every human life.

The online event, “How to Increase Fertility the Natural Way,” will bring together medical and theological experts to discuss ways of supporting reproductive health in harmony with the body’s natural processes.

Dr. Tammy Mahaney, a family nurse practitioner and clinical director at Bella Primary Care is one of three presenters on the webinar. Mahaney has more than two decades of nursing experience and focuses on holistic and integrative health. A former captain in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, she is also a wife and a mother of six who homeschooled her children for 20 years.

The webinar will also feature Naomi Davis, a board-certified physician assistant who practices NaProTechnology, which identifies and treats conditions that can affect fertility and help couples conceive naturally.

For Catholics who desire the gift of a child, the approach provides care aligned with the teachings of their faith. Zeale News previously reported that, unlike IVF, NaProTechnology assists the marital act, rather than replacing it, respecting the sacred union of husband and wife and receiving each child as a gift from God.

Father Blaise Berg, president of the California Association of Natural Family Planning and an assistant professor of dogmatics at St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park, California, will also speak. Father Berg has published articles on marriage, family life, and natural family planning.

The webinar will begin at 6 p.m. PT on Oct. 6. More information is available here.
