EWTN Global Catholic Network announced Feb. 2 that it has launched EWTN+, a new streaming platform offering prayer resources, podcasts, films, and other features.
The ad-free platform is available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV, providing access to EWTN’s wide library of video and audio content along with two new programs: “Seeking Beauty,” a series hosted by Catholic actor and director David Henry, and “Catholics & Cappuccinos,” a podcast hosted by Catholic comedian and actress Siobhan Fallon Hogan, according to the press release.
The release describes the platform as “a simple and centralized way to watch all EWTN’s programs” in which viewers can create a free account and access the Catholic content on any device they want.
Michael Warsaw, CEO of EWTN and the chairman of the nonprofit’s board of directors, said the new platform is a continuation of the evangelistic efforts of EWTN’s founder, Mother Angelica.
“From the very beginning, Mother Angelica embraced the most powerful media tools of her time to share the Gospel,” Warsaw said in the release. “Just as she once invested in cable television and satellite technology to reach the world, today's streaming platforms are the new gateway to content. With EWTN+, we are continuing Mother's legacy — bringing timeless truth, beauty, and hope to people wherever they are.”
According to the release, the platform also includes daily Mass and prayer resources, news, live events, documentaries, and studio programming.
The “Catholics & Cappuccinos” podcast “blends humor, celebrity interviews, and faith as Hogan explores how Catholicism has shaped the lives of her guests,” the release stated, adding that episode one includes an interview with Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in “The Chosen.”
“These new productions reflect a fresh, creative chapter for EWTN Studios,” said Peter Gagnon, the president of EWTN Studios. “Seeking Beauty and Catholics & Cappuccinos show how faith-based storytelling can be vibrant, entertaining, and deeply meaningful. We're excited to collaborate with talented artists who bring authenticity and heart to these projects.”
