SUPREME COURT ALLOWS TRUMP ADMIN'S MILITARY 'TRANS' POLICY
The Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration Tuesday, allowing enforcement of its military policy banning “transgender” individuals from service by lifting a federal judge’s order that had blocked its implementation. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hailed the ruling as a “MASSIVE victory.”
AUSTIN DIOCESAN SCHOOLS EXPECT WAVE OF NEW STUDENTS
Catholic schools in the Diocese of Austin are preparing for a potential wave of new students following Texas’ enactment of the largest school choice program in the nation. The new law provides eligible families with up to $8,000 annually through Education Savings Accounts.
CONNECTICUT: THOUSANDS PROTEST POTENTIAL HOMESCHOOLING CRACKDOWN
Connecticut families showed up in droves at the state Capitol May 5 to urge lawmakers to defend parental rights against proposals to introduce invasive regulations. The rally was in response to a “Homeschool Informational Hearing” called by the Democrat-controlled Education Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly.

Sen. Thom Tillis, R-NC, announced Tuesday he will oppose President Donald Trump’s nominee for US attorney for DC, effectively derailing Ed Martin’s nomination. Martin, a Catholic and conservative lawyer from Missouri, currently serves as interim US attorney for DC.
GOV YOUNGKIN VETOES TWO PRO-CONTRACEPTION LAWS
Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin vetoed two legislative packages May 2 that would have established a “right to contraception” in the state and forced insurance companies to cover contraception without exceptions for religious organizations.
MONTANA GUV SIGNS LAW TO PROTECT RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
Montana Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte signed legislation May 1 that protects families and faith-based adoption and foster care providers from government discrimination based on their religious or moral beliefs.

Kansas City’s Archbishop Joseph Naumann will offer the closing Mass and opening prayer for the gala at the 54th National Right to Life (NRL) Conference in Overland Park, Kansas, June 20-21. Archbishop Naumann has “consistently challenged pro-abortion Catholic politicians and spearheaded pro-life efforts and ministries in Kansas and throughout the country," NRL stated.
