Lawmakers yesterday issued their final report on the security failures surrounding the attempt on President Donald Trump's life exactly one year earlier in Butler, Pennsylvania. The report identified "a cascade of preventable failures that nearly cost President Trump his life." Here are the details.
US CITIZEN BEATEN TO DEATH IN HOLY LAND
Sayafollah “Saif” Musallet, a US citizen born in Tampa, Florida, was reportedly beaten to death Friday by Jewish settlers near the village of Sinjil in the Holy Land. The Palestinian-American's family said the settlers blocked medics from reaching him for hours after the beating. “We demand the U.S. State Department lead an immediate investigation and hold the Israeli settlers who killed Saif accountable for their crimes," the family stated.
TRUMP LAUNCHES NEW VISA PROGRAM FOR MIGRANT WORKERS
The Trump administration is launching a new program to help fast-track foreign laborer visas. The move comes after hotel and farming industry leaders pressured Trump to let up on his mass deportations agenda. Officials have denied that the program is or will become an amnesty for illegal workers.
TRUMP DISMISSES EPSTEIN CONCERNS AMID BACKLASH
Trump on Saturday defended his administration, and in particular Attorney General Pam Bondi, against mounting accusations of a cover-up after the Department of Justice and FBI declared sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein killed himself and had no client list. In a social media post, Trump ridiculed those concerned about the scandal, stating "nobody cares about" Epstein.
FATAL SHOOTING AT KENTUCKY BAPTIST CHURCH
A shooting at Richmond Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, has left two dead and others injured. The shooting suspect shot a police officer and fired on worshipers. Law enforcement believe there is a connection between the attacker and the church community.

THE LILY OF THE MOHAWKS
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha's faith in Christ isolated her from her Indian family and everything she knew. After meeting Jesuit priests, Kateri converted to Catholicism. This conversion led her to leave her tribe and seek out those who shared her faith.
