ERIKA KIRK ADDRESSES THE NATION
The wife of the slain Charlie Kirk addressed the nation Friday night for the first time since her husband’s assassination. In the 16-minute speech, Erika Kirk recalled Charlie's unwavering love for their family, his dedication to his faith, and his mission to revive the American family. She vowed to continue his mission to “make heaven crowded.”
CHARLIE KIRK'S ASSASSIN ARRESTED
Police arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, after a family friend tipped them off. A relative described Robinson as increasingly political, recalling a dinner where he denounced Kirk as “spreading hate.” Investigators recovered the murder weapon and cartridges inscribed with strange messages.
SITES RESTRICT POSTS ‘GLORIFYING VIOLENCE’ AFTER KIRK'S DEATH
The social media platform Bluesky has warned users about creating posts that praise violence in light of some accounts that celebrated the assassination of Kirk. Other platforms, including Reddit, Meta, and YouTube, are also removing graphic footage and restricting violent content.
TRUMP SAYS HE WILL DEPLOY NATIONAL GUARD TO MEMPHIS
President Donald Trump announced yesterday that he plans to deploy the National Guard to Memphis, Tennessee, to address crime in the city. “We’re going to Memphis,” Trump said. "We'll straighten that out."

CALIFORNIA BISHOPS' PLAN TO HEAL MARRIAGES
In an interview with CatholicVote, Damon Owens of Communio — a national marriage ministry — discussed a new partnership with California bishops to equip every parish with resources for marriage renewal, healing, and enrichment. “As crucial as youth ministry is to keep and nurture our kids in the faith, we recognize the problem of youth leaving the church as really the ‘smoke’ from the ‘fire’ of the collapse of marriage and family life," Owens said.
