TRUMP FDA APPROVES NEW ABORTION PILL
The Trump administration is under fire from pro-life advocates after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) quietly approved a new generic version of the abortion drug mifepristone on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The drug is manufactured by Evita Solutions LLC, a company that openly declares its mission is to “normalize abortion” and make it “accessible to all.”
DURBIN REACTS TO POPE LEO'S COMMENTS
NBC News reported yesterday Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin was “overwhelmed” by Pope Leo’s comments about the Archdiocese of Chicago’s plans to award the pro-abortion politician with a lifetime achievement award. The outlet claimed the Holy Father had offered “support” for Durbin amid widespread criticism from bishops and faithful Catholics.

ANOTHER AMERICAN CATHOLIC SAINT?
This year marks the 17th anniversary of the death of Tom Vander Woude, a Catholic father who died on the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary while saving his son, Joseph, from drowning in a septic tank. The Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, is investigating whether to open Vander Woude’s cause for canonization. “Growing up with my dad… he was an example of a tremendous father and a leader,” Bob Vander Woude, one of Tom's seven sons, told CatholicVote in an exclusive interview.

The patroness of Indiana, Saint Mother Théodore Guérin (1798-1856) was a bold French nun who immigrated to the then-young American nation to found a school in the middle of the state’s wilderness. Mother Guerin’s legacy endures through Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) which remains in operation over 180 years later as the oldest Catholic college in the Hoosier State.
