SAINT OF THE DAY
Today the Church celebrates All Hallows' Eve (the Vigil of All Saints’ Day) and also remembers Saint Wolfgang of Ratisbon. As bishop of Ratisbon, Germany, Wolfgang continued to live out his Benedictine vows and remained a man of prayer and relative solitude. He revived religious life throughout his diocese and showed such care for the poor that he became known as “the Great Almoner.” He died in 994, and so many miracles attended his tomb that he was canonized in 1052.
