WAR DEPT. ORDERED TO 'PREPARE FOR POSSIBLE ACTION' AGAINST NIGERIAN ISLAMISTS
President Donald Trump over the weekend announced he has directed the Department of War to prepare for possible strikes on terrorist groups in Nigeria if the local government fails to protect persecuted Christians there. Trump also said the U.S. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria if the violence continues. He also said the U.S. would "completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities” unless the Nigerian government moves "FAST."
SENATE REPUBLICANS SAY NO TO NUKING FILIBUSTER
Many Senate Republicans, including Majority Leader John Thune, R-South Dakota, have made clear they are not open to Trump's idea of nuking the filibuster in order to reopen the government.
US STRIKES ANOTHER BOAT IN CARIBBEAN, KILLING 3
The U.S. military conducted another lethal strike on a boat allegedly operated by drug smugglers in the Caribbean Sea Saturday. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced the strike, stating the boat was piloted by members of a Designated Terrorist Organization. He did not name the group in question.
'CANCEL CULTURE' OR 'ACCOUNTABILITY'? GOP VOTERS SHIFT
Fifty-six percent of Republicans now say calling out offensive social media posts holds people accountable — up from 34% who said the same in 2022. The share of Republicans who see callouts as unfair punishment dropped from 62% in 2022 to 41% in 2025, while Democratic opposition rose slightly from 32% to 38%.

Divorce reform advocate Beverly Willett recently argued that Erika Kirk can honor her late husband’s legacy by working to end no-fault divorce. “Charlie Kirk knew marriage was vital for the well-being of our country and revitalization of the American Dream,” Willett wrote. “Today, marriage has little protection under our laws — a fact of which Charlie was acutely aware.”
