JUDGE RULES DOJ CAN RELEASE MAXWELL FILES
A federal judge ruled yesterday that the Department of Justice is cleared to release a broad set of documents closely related to the late Jeffrey Epstein. The investigative materials are from the sex trafficking case against Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of Epstein who allegedly aided him in trafficking underage girls to powerful men in politics.
INDIANA ONE STEP CLOSER TO NEW GOP-BACKED MAP
An Indiana Senate committee this week voted to advance a Republican-proposed redistricting plan that would redraw the state’s nine U.S. House districts and could give the GOP full control of the delegation in the 2026 midterms. President Donald Trump has long pressed for the new map's approval and stated over the weekend that it would represent a "Victory for Republicans in the ‘Hoosier State,’ and across the Country."
NFL FACES BACKLASH OVER AD PARODYING BAPTISM
A new NFL promotional spot shows Buffalo Bills fans "baptizing" babies in the name of the Bills’ head coach, quarterback, and another coach. Some Catholics are pushing back on the commercial, arguing it makes a foundational sacrament of the faith into a punchline.

POPE LEO RECEIVES UKRAINE'S ZELENSKYY FOR AUDIENCE
Pope Leo received Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an audience yesterday at Castel Gandolfo, where the two discussed the war in Ukraine. Zelenskyy stated after the meeting that he had asked the Holy Father to visit Ukraine, suggesting it would amount to an influential statement about the ongoing war with Russia. SAINT OF THE DAY
Today the Church honors St. Eulalia of Merida (c. 292 - c. 304), a 12-year-old devout Christian girl who lived under the Roman Empire in what is now Spain during the persecutions of Emperor Diocletian. Despite an edict that everyone in the empire sacrifice to false pagan gods, Eulalia refused to denounce her faith, leading to her martyrdom by burning at the stake.
