Tens of thousands of pro-life advocates gathered in Washington, D.C., Jan. 23 for the 53rd annual March for Life, braving an unusually menacing bout of winter weather to offer prayerful public witness to the dignity of every human person. The strong showing underscored the pro-life movement’s continued momentum four years after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
TRUMP MOURNS GENERATION LOST TO ABORTION
President Donald Trump addressed the March for Life in a video message, praising the pro-life movement for promoting the “infinite worth and God-given dignity of every human life” and pledging to continue pursuing policies aimed at protecting the unborn and supporting families. “I ask every citizen of this great Nation to listen to the sound of silence caused by a generation lost to us,” he said, “and then to raise their voices for all affected by abortion, both seen and unseen.”
