Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani returned to his radio program this week after being hospitalized earlier this month with viral pneumonia, telling listeners he was recovering and grateful for the support he received during the health scare.
Giuliani, 81, resumed hosting “The Rudy Giuliani Show” on May 13 after spending days hospitalized in Palm Beach, Florida. He thanked supporters for their prayers and well-wishes, including medical staff, family members and President Donald Trump, who he said called him while he was ill.
“It feels good to be back,” Giuliani said during the broadcast.

A spokesperson previously said Giuliani had been placed on a ventilator after the illness worsened, as Zeale News reported. The former mayor has experienced long-term respiratory complications tied to his exposure at Ground Zero following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
