A new platform called The Adore Movement is encouraging the faithful to fall in love with Christ in the Eucharist, and it features an interactive map to help people find opportunities for adoration near them.
The Adore Movement, which is available in both English and Spanish, is a joint venture between Spirit Filled Hearts and eCatholic.
“We created The Adore Movement to inspire Catholics and help them to better understand why each and every one of us is called to Eucharistic Adoration,” Deacon Steve Greco, founder and president of Spirit Filled Hearts, said in a Feb. 12 emailed press release. “We want to help Catholics to grow beyond the Mass and inspire them to go much deeper and realize that He is here among us, waiting for us to encounter Him and sit with Him.”
Jason Jaynes, CEO of eCatholic, said in the release that he hopes the Adore Movement will bring more people to spend time with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
“Jesus has to be accessible,” Jaynes said.
The adoration finder includes an interactive map of the U.S., offering the faithful the ability to “find an active Adoration chapel near them where they can adore the Lord,” Jaynes continued. “At eCatholic we represent over 40 percent of Catholic parishes in the U.S. and so through our data we were able to build something revolutionary that helps the faithful and seekers find open churches and Adoration chapels with dedicated hours for devotion.”
Jaynes explained that the index in the adoration finder is growing, and he encouraged parishes and chapels offering adoration to contact The Adore Movement if their adoration times are not listed.
In addition to the adoration finder, the platform hosts multi-part video series about the Eucharist and Catholic life. New videos will be released each month. The platform will also provide suggestions for ways that users can become involved in promoting Eucharistic adoration.
According to the release, the Adore Movement will soon be rolling out “Adore Stories”: testimonials from people who have had profound experiences through adoration, whether healing, answered prayers, or spiritual growth.
“There is so much power in testimony,” Deacon Greco said, according to the release. “When we read Scripture and learn about what Jesus did, it moves us and convinces us. Jesus is the same today, as He was yesterday as He will be forevermore!”
