As part of the nation’s 250th birthday celebration, a traveling “Freedom Truck” museum is set to appear at the June 13 Zeale for America 250 rally in La Crosse, Wisconsin, featuring an interactive exhibit on the story of American independence.
The Freedom Truck, an 18-wheeler double-wide mobile museum, is part of the federal “Freedom 250” initiative commemorating the United States’ semiquincentennial, according to the White House.
The exhibit highlights pivotal moments in the nation’s founding and the country’s path toward liberty. Visitors will be greeted by portraits of the nation’s founding fathers that “come to life,” the White House added. Guests can also interact with features such as a “loyalist or patriot” quiz and a digital signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The Freedom 250 initiative describes the effort as highlighting the “triumph of the American Spirit,” adding that six trucks will travel across the 48 contiguous states, making stops at schools, national parks, sporting events, and community gatherings. The White House said the initiative aims to reach 20 million Americans.
The Freedom Truck will be stationed outside the Lacrosse Center June 13 at no cost as part of the national Zeale for America 250 rally, which is hosted by CatholicVote. The rally will include speakers such as Cardinal Raymond Burke, Michael Knowles, and CatholicVote President and CEO Kelsey Reinhardt.
