ERIKA KIRK REFLECTS ON GRIEF AMID 1-YEAR MARK SINCE HUSBAND’S DEATH
In a guest essay in The New York Times, Erika Kirk reflected on the loss of her husband over the past year of milestones and anniversaries. “The first Saturday without a love note from him passed. His 32nd birthday. My birthday. Thanksgiving. When I put the Christmas tree together wrong, it made me realize that being a widow means old traditions will need to make room for new ones,” she wrote.
PRO-LIFE GROUPS URGE TRUMP TO CUT ALL FEDERAL FUNDS TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD
CatholicVote joined 38 other pro-life organizations in calling on the Trump administration to ensure that no federal funding is given to Planned Parenthood. The abortion giant has “allegedly defrauded taxpayers, violated federal laws, and abused public trust,” the organizations wrote in a Sept. 9 letter.
JUDGES FOCUS ON ISSUES OF STANDING AS APPELLATE COURT HEARS ABORTION PILL CASE
Oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit saw judges press both Louisiana and attorneys for abortion pill manufacturers on issues of standing. Louisiana argued that the Food and Drug Administration's rules that the state’s lawsuit challenges allow out-of-state abortionists to violate Louisiana’s pro-life laws, which the state argues represents an injury.
