Missouri man charged after bomb threat against St. Louis Archdiocese headquarters

A Missouri man was charged Sept. 16 after allegedly threatening a bomb attack against the headquarters of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, prompting an evacuation and search of the property.

Jeremiah Robinson, 32, of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, faces a felony charge of making a first-degree terrorist threat, according to a Sept. 16 report from FOX 2. The threat targeted the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, the St. Louis suburb that houses the archdiocese’s administrative offices.

Authorities began investigating after the FBI National Operations Center alerted Shrewsbury police to a threatening TikTok video involving the archdiocese, FOX 2 reported.

Robinson allegedly said in the first video that he was two minutes from the archdiocese and claimed God had directed him to act without discernment. He then said “everyone who walks into that church is guilty and to kill them,” according to FOX 2.

The outlet reported that a second video showed the archdiocesan offices from the parking lot, where Robinson allegedly threatened to “leave no one breathing.”

The building was evacuated as bomb-detection dogs searched the property. Authorities ultimately found no credible evidence connected to the threat, according to FOX 2.

Robinson was booked into jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
