National pro-life advocates are celebrating the recent closure of a Planned Parenthood facility in Port Angeles, Washington — the abortion giant’s only location in the city.
“Praise God!” Live Action President Lila Rose wrote in a Facebook post about the news. Susan B. Anthony (SBA) Pro-Life America also hailed the news, noting in a Facebook post that it is one of many permanent abortion facility closures across the country.
“Life is WINNING!” SBA Pro-Life America said.
Planned Parenthood has been facing increasing financial challenges, prompting facility closures and the consolidation of operations nationwide, as Zeale News previously reported.
In addition to abortion, the Port Angeles facility reportedly offered services including “gender affirming care,” according to KNKX News, an NPR affiliate.
According to LifeNews, the facility’s final day of in-person procedures was scheduled for April 2. The abortion organization is directing those seeking abortions to use telehealth options in Washington State, where abortion pills can legally be prescribed and mailed.
As Zeale News previously reported, mail-in abortion pills have drawn increasing scrutiny because of their health risks for women, even as they remain widely accessible across the country.
Zeale News also reported that a July 2025 federal funding measure, part of President Donald Trump’s tax and spending legislation, placed new limits on Medicaid support for certain abortion providers, contributing to facility closures across the country.
