White House highlights Trump’s ‘250 victories for people of faith’
The administration cited efforts to protect religious liberty and conscience rights, defend pro-life advocates, and address alleged anti-Catholic bias under the previous administration.
The White House released a list Sept. 17 highlighting what it described as President Donald Trump’s top 250 victories for people of faith, including actions it said protected religious liberty and conscience rights, advanced pro-life policies, and expanded school choice.
The White House said it released the list as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary and described Trump as “the most pro-faith, pro-life, and pro-religious liberty president in American history.”
The administration organized the actions into 25 categories, including protecting religious liberty, securing conscience rights, defending houses of worship, ending the weaponization of government, promoting free speech, expanding school choice, upholding parental rights, fighting antisemitism, supporting Israel, and affirming faith in America.
Among the actions cited were Trump’s creation of the White House Faith Office and Religious Liberty Commission, his establishment of a task force to combat anti-Christian bias, and Department of Justice (DOJ) guidance directing federal agencies to protect religious liberty in their policies and programs.
The list also highlighted several actions involving Catholics, including a DOJ lawsuit challenging a New York requirement that Catholic nuns who operate a hospice ministry house men with women.
The White House also cited the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group and its investigation into alleged anti-Catholic actions under the Biden administration. The list referenced an FBI memo produced during the Biden administration that linked some “radical traditionalist Catholics” to violent extremism.

CatholicVote Director of Government Affairs Tom McClusky praised the administration’s record, contrasting it with the treatment of Catholics under former President Joe Biden.
“Under Joe Biden, we saw federal government resources used as a weapon against faithful Catholics,” he told Zeale News. “President Trump shows it can be better, that the United States Constitution matters, and that people of faith are welcome in this nation they founded.”
Several actions on the list concerned conscience protections important to health care professionals and institutions. The administration cited measures protecting medical professionals from participating in abortion, sterilization, or assisted suicide, along with federal investigations into alleged violations of health care workers’ conscience rights.
The list also included presidential proclamations and messages marking Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and other religious observances. Trump recognized Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, Passover, Ramadan, Diwali, and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, among other occasions, according to the White House.
The White House described the list as evidence that Trump had “made history again and again for the faith community” by “reversing the catastrophic policies of the previous administration while building on the winning legacy of his first term.”
