Republican lawmakers are pressing the Justice Department to indict Dr. Anthony Fauci for perjury, with many pointing out his role as a primary architect of the catastrophic policies imposed in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. Any indictment against Fauci would have to come by May 11, after which a statute of limitations would protect him from prosecution.
