Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh said that the central bank’s goal is to bring inflation down to 2% but warned that heightened interest rates may continue if price pressures do not ease.

U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill ruled that the 14th Amendment creates a narrow “right” to abortion when the life of a pregnant mother is at risk. Attorneys with Alliance Defending Freedom urged the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit to reject the ruling.
APPLE TO PAY $150,000 TO SETTLE RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION LAWSUIT
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleged that the tech giant had denied a Jewish employee’s request not to work on the Sabbath and fired him when he complained. As part of the settlement, Apple has agreed to explain in writing any denial of religious accommodation requests.
NEW YORK SHERIFFS SUE TO BLOCK GOVERNOR’S NEW ANTI-ICE LAW
A coalition of 15 sheriffs were joined by the Federation for American Immigration Reform in a lawsuit aimed at halting enforcement of a law signed by Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul. If allowed to go into effect, the law would prevent state and local law enforcement from partnering with federal immigration agents and potentially open up state and local agencies to prosecution.

The socialist-aligned Democratic Senate nominee for Michigan tried to distance himself from the far-left streamer, despite campaigning alongside Piker numerous times during the Democratic primary. El-Sayed dismissed the controversy, saying, “The effort to make this race about a streamer in LA is actually kind of laughable.”

Harvard University’s undergraduate chaplain, Father Nathaniel Sanders, described the record number of converts as part of a years-long growing interest in the Catholic faith on campus.
