Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Brandon Bussi marries college sweetheart in Catholic church
The couple said celebrating the Sacrament of Matrimony in a Catholic Nuptial Mass was their highest priority.

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Brandon Bussi and his college sweetheart, Mary Raclawski, placed their Catholic faith at the heart of their July 17 wedding at St. Paul Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Fresh off his Stanley Cup win, Raclawski told People that the couple’s shared faith guided their decision to marry in the Church.
“Our faith is an important part of our relationship,” she said, “so celebrating the sacrament of marriage in a traditional church ceremony was our biggest priority.”
Bussi, 28, and Raclawski, 25, met at Western Michigan University. They chose the Boston area for their wedding after spending summers there together while Bussi trained as a goaltender.
The couple exchanged traditional vows during the wedding and later shared privately written vows at their reception, according to People.
Bussi also reflected on the importance of supporting one another throughout their relationship.
“We make each other better,” he said, “support each other and are there for each other in the highs and lows of our lives. The most exciting part is the thought of what 20, 30, 40 years down the line might look like. Having kids, growing old together. Right now our lives are hectic, but knowing that this is the beginning is what’s exciting.”
