New York Assistant Attorney General Daniel Wiesenfeld alleged in an email that Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, and her deputies had ordered Wiesenfeld to aggressively investigate and pursue charges against then-candidate Donald Trump, his family, and his allies — even without a valid or credible reason for doing so.
FLORIDA TO REMOVE CONTROVERSIAL FLOCK CAMERAS FROM STATE HIGHWAYS
The Florida Department of Transportation on Aug. 31 announced a 30-day deadline for removing Flock cameras and other license plate readers from state roads and highways. Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis had previously voiced his concerns over the threat that the cameras pose to privacy and the potential misuse or abuse of collected data.

More than 20 years ago, Arizona voters approved a law requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote. The Republican National Committee is now going to the U.S. Supreme Court to defend that law from court challenges brought by Democrats.
JUDGE SENDS CHARLIE KIRK MURDER CASE TO TRIAL WITH POSSIBILITY FOR DEATH PENALTY
Utah District Court Judge Tony Graf ruled Sept. 1 that prosecutors had presented sufficient evidence for the murder charges against Tyler Robinson to advance to trial. Robinson stands accused of having assassinated conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk nearly one year ago. Robinson could face the death penalty.
IRAQI PRIME MINISTER CALLS RETURN OF CHRISTIANS A NATIONAL PRIORITY
After decades of instability and violence, fewer than 300,000 Christians remain in Iraq, but Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi recently announced efforts to grow the Christian population. “The return of Christians who were forced to leave the country due to the difficult circumstances Iraq endured is a national and government priority,” he said.

New numbers from the British government reveal that more than 100 children have been referred to a special victims unit focusing on forced marriages. Nearly 30 of those children were under the age of 5. The increase in forced marriages follows reports of Muslim immigrants abducting and marrying underage girls.

QUEBEC CARDINAL WINS DEFAMATION LAWSUIT OVER SEXUAL ASSAULT CLAIMS
Four years after former curial official Cardinal Marc Ouellet was accused of sexual assault, a Canadian court has determined that the allegations were false and awarded Ouellet thousands of dollars in damages. According to the court, the cardinal’s accuser shifted and changed her stories and allegations so often and so substantially that they could not be trusted.
BENEDICTINE SISTERS JOIN DOMINICANS IN CHALLENGING NY GENDER IDEOLOGY MANDATE
The Missionary Sisters of St. Benedict and St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged joined a lawsuit filed by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne against New York’s Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul and her administration, seeking relief from a mandate requiring the religious sisters to house hospice and elder care patients in rooms according to their “gender identities."
