CATHOLIC SUES DEARBORN, ALLEGES CITY USED TAXPAYER MONEY TO PROMOTE ISLAM
Catholic journalist and Dearborn resident Margot Cleveland sued the Michigan city and its mayor, alleging they spent thousands of taxpayer dollars promoting Islam, refused comparable recognition of Christian and Jewish holy days, and retaliated against her when she objected. Mayor Abdullah Hammoud has openly conveyed “the message that Christians and Jews are not welcome in the city and are, indeed, second-class citizens,” the suit alleges.
