SCOTUS RESTORES TRUMP’S VOTER CITIZENSHIP CHECKS AHEAD OF MIDTERMS
The Supreme Court yesterday cleared the way for states to use the Trump administration’s expanded database to check voter citizenship ahead of the November midterms, overturning a lower court ruling that blocked the database. The 6-3 ruling revives a system that the administration says will help identify noncitizens on voter rolls and combat voter fraud.

DOJ RAMPS UP NONCITIZEN VOTING PROSECUTIONS
The Justice Department has mounted a national campaign to prosecute instances of noncitizens voting and related offenses ahead of the upcoming November election. In the last month, the DOJ has brought charges against 32 individuals and expects the rate to increase as the midterms approach.
SUPREME COURT BLOCKS REPUBLICAN-BACKED CONGRESSIONAL MAP IN MISSOURI
The U.S. Supreme Court blocked Missouri from using a 2025 congressional map that would have favored Republicans, leaving the state’s 2022 district lines in place for the November midterm elections.
APOSTOLIC VISIT TO FRANCE: POPE URGES NATION TO DEFEND HUMAN DIGNITY
Pope Leo XIV opened his four-day visit to France by urging the country’s leaders to defend human dignity, especially as technology advances. In an address in Paris, he warned against practices including surrogacy and assisted suicide and said France’s secular tradition should make room for faith in public life.
