El-Sayed Wins in Michigan, Piker Predicts GOP Extinction, Blanche Defends Pro-Life States - 8/5/26

Michigan Democrats just handed their Senate nomination to the far left. I'm Josh Mercer with your Morning LOOPcast. Michigan Democrats have nominated Abdul El-Sayed for the United States Senate. The progressive, backed by Bernie Sanders and the entire squad, will now face Republican Mike Rogers in November. El-Sayed supports Medicare for All and wants to abolish ICE, and he's also campaigned with radical streamer Hassan Piker. In a state, President Trump carried Democrats chose the hard left option.

And by the way, El-Said isn't the only radical that communist podcaster Hassan Piker campaigns for. Piker said this week that Republicans are headed for extinction in Wisconsin and Michigan. At a rally with Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong, Piker claimed Michigan and Wisconsin aren't really swing states at all, and said a Republican will never be elected in this state ever again once our movement is done. Piker is also called mass murderous communist dictator Mao Zedong. One of the great leaders of this world.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch says the Justice Department will defend states that protect unborn children. On a White House Faith Office prayer call, Blanch said the administration is developing policies to stop outside groups from mailing abortion pills into pro-life states. He promised victory would come soon and said the goal is to make Dobbs permanent in every single state.
