Socialists unveil their plan for America, and it's got to be stopped. I'm Josh Mercer with your Morning LOOPcast. The Democratic Socialists of America have released a sweeping agenda tied directly to its 2026 candidate endorsements. It calls for a government takeover of major industries, letting illegal immigrants vote, taxpayer funding of abortion and gender transition procedures, even a new constitution that would replace the House and Senate with The single federal legislature. Endorsed candidates are expected to act, quote, socialist organizers first and legislators second.

Vice President J.D. Vance, meanwhile, says Republicans can't defeat socialism just by denouncing it. Young Americans, he said, need a realistic path to home ownership, economic security, and the American dream. After decades of offshoring jobs and allowing Wall Street to purchase every asset of modern life, J.D. Vance said the GOP now must offer a Christian economic alternative. Otherwise, socialism will win, stepping in to fill the vacuum. In California, mothers who change their mind after taking the first abortion drug are testifying in defense of abortion pill reversal.

One woman described feeling pressured into taking Mifepristone before finding a pro-life clinic, receiving progesterone, and later giving birth to a healthy son. California's Democratic Attorney General Rob Bonta is trying to extract nearly $20 million from the pro-life groups that promote abortion pill reversals. President Trump this week honored St. Francis Xavier Cabrini as a towering Italian-American hero, praising the saint's faith, charity, and service to thousands of struggling families. Today's saint of the day are the 16 Carmelite martyrs who went singing and praying to the guillotine during the French Revolution, renewing their vows before giving their lives for Christ.
